The tips and tricks mentioned in the video include:

• Record in a safe and distraction-free location

• Dress professionally

• Position yourself so you’re sitting in front of a window so that you’re being lit with natural light; try not to have open windows or large sources of light behind you

• Make sure the camera is at eye level and that you are centered in front of your laptop

• Be sure to leave some room above your head so if you move, you won’t appear off camera

• It’s always better to be a bit further away from your camera than to be too close

• Look directly into the camera when speaking

• If you are reading off of a script on your computer, make the text large enough to read and keep the line of text that you are reading towards the top of your screen, just below the camera

• Speak clearly and try to smile as you speak

• Just relax, have fun, and be yourself!
